The project is realized through a series of paintings in which the canvas surface is divided into zones of inside and outside. Multiple layers of glazing create the effect of a concrete-like surface, while the circle guides the viewer’s gaze through the composition. On a philosophical level, the project raises questions about the nature of boundaries and the possibility of a harmonious coexistence between the man-made and the natural.
The artistic methodology reveals the influence of Donald Judd. Precise geometry, clean lines, and a restrained palette are combined with an investigation of the relationship between form and space.
Circular openings and windows function as optical lenses, transforming light and creating meditative transitions between architecture and landscape. Echoing the principles of Alvar Aalto, this approach emphasizes the emotional perception of form and the relationship between people and their environment.
The OUTSIDE/INSIDE project explores the dialogue between the rigorous geometry of minimalist architecture and the organic forces of nature. At its core is the circle, understood as a form capable of structuring space and redefining the boundaries between interior and exterior.
